The Director General (DG) Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), Major General AE Edet visited the Chairman Nigerian Drug Law Enforcement Agency Brigadier General Buba Marwa (Rtd) in his office in Abuja.
The DG DICON and his team were well recieved by Chairman. He congratulated the DG on his recent appointment as the Director General of the Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria.
The Director General Major General AE Edet thanked the chairman and spoke extensively with the chairman. He requested that the Agency put forth their requests to DICON in areas where the Corporation can complement the Agency. The DG promised the Chairman that the request will be given priority and treated with dispatch.
The DG, also intimated General Marwa (Rtd) about the forthcoming anniversary of DICON @60 and shared snippets of what DICON’s collaborative partners will be showcasing during the event.
In response, the chairman Major General Buba Marwa (Rtd) spoke extensively on the strength and capabilities of DICON as he was a one-time Chairman of DICON Board. He commended the passage of the new DICON Act 2023 and assured the DG of NDLEA’s patronage.
He also added that with the growth in capacity, manpower and size of the agency, DICON will be a destination for many of its needs.
