The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria and D7G limited signed a Memorandum of Understanding.

The MoU was signed by the Director General DICON, Major General AE Edet and the Chief Executive Officer D7G Osman Chennar at the DICON Headquarters 18 January 2024.

This is in line with the mandate to establish a Military Industrial Complex as well as the new DICON Act 2023 which seeks to foster growth of indigenous companies within the Military Industrial Complex.

Speaking at the signing ceremony, the DG Major General Edet commended all parties involved in the process of birthing the MoU.

He described it as a historic event for robust partnership and solution driven results for national security.

The MoU is a Joint Venture Company DICON-D7G Nigeria Limited to meet defense needs of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies.

The CEO D7G Osman Chennar speaking said D7G believe in the Nigerian Government and will work to see that other African countries patronize DICON Military Industry. He said the company will be loyal and thus see the prosperity of the venture. He said beyond this signing efforts have been put in place to meet the various timeliness put in place and will produce the best defense needs.
