The Director General (DG), Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria (DICON), Maj Gen Aniedi Edet has stated that youths play important roles in our society and as such cannot be overemphasized. He made this known when he received the delegation of the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria at the Headquarters DICON Conference room on Wednesday 4 October 2023.
The DG appreciated the visit and implored the youths to be innovative and creative to bring positive developments to bear.
Earlier, the President of the Northern Youth Council of Nigeria, Isah Abubakar appreciated the DG for the warm reception and opportunity to receive them despite his tight schedule of activities. He stated that the purpose of the visit was to seek creativity for the youths to be productive in reducing crime and other social vices in society.
Highlights of the visit include the decoration of the DG with the Sir Ahmadu Bello Platinum Leadership Award, the exchange of souvenirs, the signing of visitors’ book, and a group photograph.
