DICON BID TO EXPLORE VIABLE PARTNERSHIP WITH CRITICAL STAKEHOLDERS IN THE DEFENCE SECTOR

A Delegation of Defence Industries Corporation of Nigerian (DICON), led by the DG-DICON, Maj Gen AE Edet, in a bid to explore viable partnership with critical stakeholders in the Defence Sector, in furtherance to the actualization of the MIC project, proceeded on a courtesy visit to the NMDC and NA-SVP on 11 Feb 2024.

The Visit to National Metallurgical Development Centre (NMDC) revealed possible areas of mutual collaboration including the production of Steel, brass and Lead to support ammunition production in DICON. It was also agreed that a robust MoU would be designed between DICON and NMDC to drive the collaboration. Parties also agreed to engage in exchange programs for and research & development activities.

During the Visit to the NA-SVP, it was also agreed that parties would consolidate their resolve to partner in the area of production of the component part of the operational and tactical vehicles through the endorsement of MoU.
