DICONOWA DONATES DRUGS AND DELIVERY KITS TO HOSPITALS IN KADUNA

The Defence Industries Corporation of Nigeria Officers Wifes Association (DICONOWA) on Monday 12th August 2024 donated drugs and delivery kits to some hospitals in Kaduna to boost healthcare delivery. The hospitals that benefited from the gesture includes DICON staff clinic, 44 Nigerian Army Reference hospital and 461 Nigerian Airforce hospital.

The Coordinator DICONOWA, Dr Uduakobong Edet, said that the donation was part of activities to commemorate DICON’s 60th anniversary. she said, “That is why we decided to embark on a medical outreach to our immediate constituency.”

Edet explained that the medical outreach was in line with the vision of the Defence and police Officers Wifes Association(DEPOWA) President. She explained that they have always discharged their corporate social responsibilities by conducting outreaches outside the Military. On Tuesday, we will hold the women empowerment conference where we will talk about our women and particularly the widows. We want to look after our own” Edet said.

The Coordinator added that the empowerment conference would help the wifes of DICON staff and Military deal with the absence created by their husbands We want them to be self sufficient.
